Featuring... Elleeae!

Just minutes after posting about Frieze Art Fair, I stumble across this! Elleeae has created a very clever room in her suite, showing the simple, creative ideas sometimes work best! Matching a all black, sophisticated outfit with a splash of colour and creativity behind her, this reminds me a bit of a Grown Up Alice in Wonderland...

Apologies for the absense...

Had three essays to write this week, a photography unit due and was away to London for a few days...
School work under control atm though so should get back to posting at least daily :)

Anyway, while I was in London, I went to visit to amazing Frieze Art Fair, an anual fair showcasing the most talenting artists, photographers and instillation artists from around the world.

I've been  wanting to o for a while, and finally this year I was in London at the time of the fair and it was- inspiring!

In a 'tent' in London's Regents Park, the fair was bigger than I ever could have imagined- with over 170 galleries to visit!

Over the next few days I'll be researching my favourite artists from the fair, and I will try and find/make Stardoll outfits inspired by the art - since afterall fashion IS art.

Deja Vu... Richard Nicoll & missadelinn

I was checking out the Catwalk today, and came across an oufit by missadelinn. It reminded me of the Fall/Winter Collections, especially Richard Nicoll.When I clicked on her suite, I saw she was wearing another oufit which again fitted into Nicoll's Fall/Winter 2010 Collection! I'm not a big Richard Nicoll fan, but I love her outfits! She looks classy, smart and modern! Love it!

Deja Vu... Bottega Veneta & Emma_Silva

Two seconds after I feature a Bottega Veneta inspired outfit what do I find? Another! Emma_Silva is pulling off the 'Dominatrix' look that was all over the Catwalk in the Fall/Winter collections! While Hermes and Altuzarra also sported this trend, Bottega Veneta again ruling the runway!

Deja Vu... Bottega Veneta & LozzyMonkey

Well I was browing Stardoll this morning and stumbled across this gorgeous look. At first I just thought she looked pretty, but then I got a bit of Deja Vu. So I pulled out my copy of Elle's Runway Edit Fall/Winter 2010 and found what it reminded me of... Bottega Veneta is known for it's strong leather looks, so when I saw a baby pink on the page it must have stuck! Bottega Veneta is a new favourite of mine, and I think LozzyMonkey pulls off this baby pink with ease!

Mcqueen.

Might as well say it now -- I am a HUGE Alexander McQueen fan. Ever since I saw infamous 'Bird Dress' I was hooked. Sadly, he is now gone, but his imprint on fashion is not. I must say I haven't been huge fans of his last collections, but his Women's Pre-Spring/Summer2011  is STUNNING! More wearable than his earlier collections, yet just as breathtaking!

And today I found a MeDoll sporting something gorgeous that just proves McQueen is still alive in fashion today!

Sporting Armadillo shoes made by her and a dress mirroring the metalic feel of the Pre Spring Summer 2011 collection, m9oda has got McQueen spot on!

Hello and Welcome to MyMODE: a new blog bringing the fashion world and Stardoll together :)

My name is Mack, and I will be attempting to show you guys my idea of fashion!

Getting straight into the blogging, I have recently discovered Project Runway! I'm from the UK and have to have it online, but it is fast becoming my favourite show!

This weeks show was probably my favourite so far, and personally my favrouite design was April's dark dress;

I loved this so much I decided to try and recreate Stardoll Style; something I'll try and do with as many real life fashion looks as I can possibly fit in :)

The first is a Superstar version, coming in at around 40sd, and the second is a Non - Superstar version - priced at 16sd!
